My Vision is to share my passion for diverse Cultural cuisine with those with discerning tastes, using fresh herbs and globally diverse flavours, in order to offer an exquisite and flavourful culinary journey. I believe that Kitchens of Distinction is an exceptional Private Catering company in Victoria providing exceptional flavours and superior customer service.

Our Goal

Our goal at Kitchens of Distinction Culinary Arts Ltd., is to build solid relationships with our team members, vendors, clients and community, while providing exceptional superior quality service and creative flavorful, nutritious, fresh cuisine for our clients. We are committed to serenading your senses, flavouring your conversations around your tables, and ensuring that your event is an unforgettable one!

Supporting our local economy

We are committed to using – whenever possible – local organic, in season, fresh from the farm produce; free range meats and poultry, without hormones or antibiotics; and Ocean Wise identified wild seafood. We do everything we can to support local Vancouver Island suppliers in order to contribute to Island sustainability, reduce our carbon footprint, and provide you with the freshest and most flavorful, highly nutritional ingredients. In doing so, the costs may be higher in fairness to the very hard working committed local producers. All of our baked goods, sauces and dressings are made from ‘scratch’ with the freshest ingredients possible. We have a small garden and grow many fresh tomatoes, squashes, potatoes, various varieties of lettuces, herbs, berries and edible flowers.

Reduce Waste

We are committed to doing everything possible to contribute to sustaining a healthy Green environment by using real dinnerware and not disposable products, unless they are compostable. We recycle and compost everything possible, therefore reducing our garbage contribution by 98%. Our Goal is to maintain a healthy environment for future generations. We compost all of our food waste further supporting our commitment to achieve this Goal.

Giving back to the community

Kitchens of Distinction Culinary Arts Ltd. is dedicated to building solid relationships and contributing to the community within the Victoria area. Chef Shirley believes in giving back to the community and applies her personal philosophies to the challenges of everyday circumstances and the human condition. Shirley volunteers tirelessly with issues related to Aboriginal Justice. As a living role model, her real work lies in her innate, dynamic ability to empower people. She is poised to help identify and apply their untapped gifts and skills, while sparking their imagination, broadening their realm of possibilities, increasing their choices, opening doors and facilitating their advancement.
